As part of our continued investment in Hidden Escapes, development work is currently taking place on neighbouring lodges within the wider site. Many guests experience little or no impact from these works and may not notice them at all - as you can see from our many happy reviews. Works are generally restricted to daytime hours, typically between 9:00am and 3:00pm, and we make every effort to minimise any disruption to our guests. Depending on the stage and location of the works, some guests may experience occasional construction-related noise, while others may notice little or no impact. By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge that limited daytime construction activity may be taking place during your stay. Discreetly positioned within a secure, gated retreat, the site is accessed via private electric gates, creating an exclusive environment where privacy, comfort and peace of mind come as standard.

The Ava is the larger of our two current lodges, designed for guests who want space to spread out, slow down, and settle in. With two private king-size bedrooms, a generous open-plan living area, and outdoor spaces made to be enjoyed, it's equally suited to couples sharing, family escapes, or weekends away with friends.
Inside, you'll find warm materials, soft furnishings, ambient lighting, and a fully equipped kitchen stocked with everything you'd expect at home — and a few things you wouldn't.
Step outside to your own private retreat, complete with a hot tub, wood-clad sauna, fire pit, and covered outdoor bar.

Cancellation & safety
Cancellation
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. If the booking is made within 5 days of the event/date, full payment is required at the time of booking. Cancellations made more than 5 days before the booking date will result in the booking being cancelled and the deposit being forfeited.
Arrival
Someone will meet you onsite, you will then be given a guided tour. We do send welcome emails and add you to our electric gate system.

Accessibility
We aim to make our lodge as accessible as possible for all guests. The property is accessed from the car park via a gravel path and a ramp leading to the entrance. Inside the lodge, there is generally good circulation space throughout the living area and bathroom, making movement around the property straightforward. Some internal doorways have low threshold bars, but these are minimal and should not present significant difficulties for wheelchair users. The bedrooms are accessible; however, while it is possible to access the bed, there is limited space around it, and wheelchair users may not be able to manoeuvre fully around the bed. Outside, the decked area is accessible. Access to the sauna requires additional assistance, as there are two to three steps leading up to the sauna entrance. A ramp at the rear provides an alternative approach, although there remains a small step into the sauna itself. If you have any specific accessibility requirements, please contact us before booking and we will be happy to discuss the suitability of the accommodation for your needs.
